I Just Want Some Spring
It becomes a long winter when you wake up to snow in April. I am chomping at the bit to get into my garden and begin the annual spring clean up that shows me that in just a few short weeks I will have COLOR in my yard. Thank goodness, Cleveland has the perfect cure for my wintertime blues- The Cleveland Botanical Garden. And right now it is their Spring Blooms event including activities for children, flower arranging demonstrations, and of course – COLOR!
I had not been before and can’t believe I have missed it. I will definitely be going back. It was a fabulous afternoon of just enjoying the colors of spring,
the hope of spring,
and even the warmth of spring as I ventured throughout the glasshouse.
Cleveland really has a lot to offer- even when it’s cold outside.

Easter Decorating
One of my favorite things to do is decorate for the holidays. For this month, it means Easter!! I love pulling out decorations and putting them up around the house.
Some we have had for years, some are hand me downs, and some I bring in just for this year. I never know exactly what form the decorations will take, but they never really vary too much from previous years. I am a big believer in using what you have, and just changing a few things out here and there.
I added a tiered tray to the dining room this year. Much of the fluff on it is recycled, but a couple new mugs added to existing decor and I have a bright, cheery spot that reads Easter without it being too kitschy. And pretty simple to change out and have it just read spring.
I hope you enjoyed a taste of some of our Easter celebrating. Now for the food!
